If your messenger dispalys the following Error Code: 80072efd ,the solutions is:

1.Check the .NET Messenger Service Status.

When it says: All systems are stable and running.  You must check your PC and fix with these tutorials:

2. Remove any Internet Explorer proxy server settings:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, go to the Connections tab.
3. Click LAN Settings…
4. Remove Tick in  the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkbox.
5. Click OK and OK

3.Click on the Start menu, select Run and type the following:

regsvr32 Dssenh.dll Gpkcsp.dll Slbcsp.dll Sccbase.dll

For the third fix option you must wait some time ,and then will appear a dialog box  click OK and then try to sign in to messenger
